A little bit about me…

I’m Caitlin, I’m 29 and I’ve been working as a makeup artist since I was 18!

I started my journey studying Media Hair & Makeup, which then led me to my first job on a counter at Urban Decay. I went on to work at MAC Cosmetics in Brent Cross for nearly two years before taking the leap into freelance at just 21, and I’ve never looked back!

I cherish my time working on beauty counters and feel it gave me invaluable hands on experience, working alongside incredibly talented artists and with a wide variety of skin tones and skin types across the general public. It taught me how to adapt my approach to each individual client and gave me a strong foundation early in my career.

Since beginning my solo career in 2018, I’ve been so lucky to work with the most wonderful clients, many of whom continue to support me every day. I’ve developed my skills quite significantly over the years and I’m always investing in my kit, my skills and keeping up with new techniques and trends.

I love meeting new people and new clients and feel like I can always find common ground with everyone. I’d say I’m relatable and definitely don’t take myself too seriously. I like my appointments to be relaxed and fun! I do, however, care deeply about my work. I’m definitely a bit of a perfectionist. I take my time, and if something isn’t quite right, I will notice it and it will bother me until I fix it!

I love all kinds of makeup and keeping my schedule really diverse. One day I could be doing Bridal glam, and the next I could be backstage at a theatrical performance or on a TV set. I love challenging myself with all different genres of makeup and I’ll never say no to a work opportunity.

Outside of work, I fill my free time by seeing friends and family. I also enjoy getting out of London and spending time at our family home in Lincolnshire. I volunteer with the RSPCA and adore spending time with animals. I generally love being outdoors and in nature, and I horse ride whenever I get the opportunity.

So that’s me! I’m very grateful that I get to do something I genuinely love for a living, and I’m excited to continue taking this path and see whatever comes with it.
